President Obama Signs Executive Order Delaying New Years by One Day

January 1, 2013

With the fiscal cliff looming in the very near future, President Obama signed an executive order delaying new years by one full day. When asked about the order President Obama had this to say,  “I will be adding one full day to the calendar year. December 32nd will be known as Congress Day in honor of organizations that simply can’t get anything done.”

House Majority leader Eric Cantor and Speaker of the House John Boehner thanks the President for the extra day and said there was only a 20% chance that the president would need to add a December 33rd. “We feel that one more day is not going to help and therefore the existing added day, having been already added, makes the most reasonable sense to avoiding the fiscal cliff,” said Speaker Boehner who then added, “It’s really all the President’s fault”.

We at the Tomato love having the extra day but asked leading scientist Herb Henry Hank Harrelson what this may mean to future calendars and years. Dr. Harrelson had this to say, “It is essentially confirmed that both the citizens and leaders of this country are insane.”

We couldn’t agree more! Hope you enjoy December 32nd! Congress day!
